The third Saturday of the month means L.L. Bear at Rich’s and this month we have popular bear DJ Blaine Soileau from Dallas coming back for another hot set. Blaine is a veteran of the Sweat parties and numerous other bear events and last time he played Rich’s he had the dancefloor packed all night. We’ve got masculine go go men, a friendly staff, and $3 Miller Lite or MGD all night long. Doors open at 9:30pm. Bear night is always a capacity night, so arrive early to avoid the line.
It’s the second Friday of the month which means Evolution returns to Rich’s with DJ/Producer Dan De Leon from Los Angeles. Evolution is a circuit style night with hot new vocals and thundering tribal rhythms. Evolution has become a fun and popular destination for great dance music in San Diego. This month we have also DJ James Adams doing a special opening set from 9 to 11pm. Arrive early to hear this up and coming DJ. We are also bringing a new sponsor on board this Friday. AlphaMale is a new concept in an all male barber shop and spa. They will be in the house giving away some free haircuts and spa treatments. Leave it to Seamus Haji and Paul Emmanuel to take a crappy Mariah song and turn it into a great club hit. This song has the classic big room sound we expect from Haji & Emmanuel and should breathe some new life into this song.
Every time I play this several people come up and ask me the name of the track. It’s instantly infectious and is one of those tracks that sounds simply amazing in the club. This has Anthem written all over it.
Cascada is back with another smash hit that lights up the dance floor every time. Huge vocals and a thumping bassline ensure success for this one. Comes in a variety of mixes with Chriss Ortega and The Wideboys leading the pack.
While not a club banger, I thought I would include a more mellow track on this list. The beautiful vocals will make you want to fall in love and the chill groove is perfect for starting or ending the night.
Rich’s has become the place to be on Friday nights! Dirty POP is a fun and packed night with hot go go boys and 2 hopping dance floors. The front room features the hottest hip hop with DJ Lil’ Chris. The main dance floor rocks to a unique and upbeat mix of dirty electro pop beats with DJ Mozart. No cover before 11pm every Friday with military ID, college ID or gym membership card. $8 cover.
It will be a bear party unlike any other on Saturday at Rich’s as international superstar DJ Brett Henrichsen visits us for a special pride set. We’ve added an additional capacity of 400 people with our outdoor beach bar in the parking lot and we’ve added two extra bars for the night to double our drink serving capacity. This will be a very busy night, so early arrival is strongly recommended.
After a huge success and capacity turnout last year, Popsicle Pride returns to 4th & B for another fun and memorable event. Talented DJ Casey Alva from Los Angeles and DJ Nikno will spin a night of uplifting and euphoric house music that will keep the dancefloor moving late into the night. Your senses will be stimulated with cirque style aerial performances and special graphic projections with our laser system and huge LED screen. A big thank you to everyone that came out for Divas to the Dancefloor. It was a fun and memorable event and it was great to see so many people out on the weekend before Pride. This event was also a fundraiser for San Diego so thank you to everyone for supporting the best Pride celebration in the country. The hottest spot to watch the Pride Parade this year will be Rich’s! We’re having a beach party in the parking lot with a real sand beach, an outdoor bar, a viewing platform and dance beats with DJ Michael Paul. The whole club will be open as well with DJ Derek spinning pride anthems on the main dance floor. Stop in for a drink, dance to your favorite song, use our bathroom, and watch the parade from the best spot in town. 11pm – 3am. No cover!
Pride takes over San Diego and Rich’s will be Ground Zero. Rich’s has a long history of being the place to be on Friday of Pride weekend, and we keep the tradition alive with another big big night. Local favorite DJ Luis Perez takes over the decks on the main dance floor bringing you a set of fun and high-energy vocal house and DJ Kiss works the hip room with beats to keep you moving all night. We’ll have go go dancers all over the club, special decorations, an extra bar, free glowsticks and more. We are opening at 9pm and we strongly suggest early arrival since we will reach capacity early. Don’t end up in line when everyone else is inside having a blast.
